SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - PART-TIME (3 DAYS A WEEK)

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Shato Holdings Ltd. is headquartered in Vancouver, BC is hiring a Part-time Finance Accounting Manager. Shato has been operating over 55 years and is privately held company which:

·      Owns a vast portfolio of commercial and residential real estate.

·      Develops real estate both residential and commercial.

·      Parent company of White Spot Restaurants.

·      Parent company of Winreal Operating Company LP.

·      Majority owner of Tsawwassen Springs Golf Club.

SCOPE OF POSITION

·      The Finance Accounting Manager is a time-time position working at the head office located at 4088 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC.

·      This position reports to the CFO and manages all day-to-day aspects related to producing accurate, timely accounting records and monthly financial statements.

ONGOING DUTIES

  • Deposit all incoming cheques electronically.
  • Upload all payable cheques issued using Bank's Positive Pay.

MONTHLY DUTIES

·      Review and post monthly rent roll.

·      Post all bank deposits and reconcile the bank accounts Prepare and post all accruals.

·      Prepare and post all journal entries and adjustments.

·      Review/reconcile all balance sheet accounts & subledgers.

·      Prepare monthly financial statements.

·      Prepare various management reports.

·      Prepare and file GST return and other monthly filings

QUARTERLY DUTIES

·      Combined financial package.

·      Liquidity/cash reconciliation report.

·      Preapare variance analyses.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to foster a high degree of accuracy and professionalism within the department.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to individuals who have less technical knowledge.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting related position.
  • Experience with Yardi software is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.
