Job title: Quality Control Technician

Reports to Quality Supervisor

Job purpose: Supports manufacturing by maintaining quality system support. Works with various manual and automated gauging. Assures skilled and timely support to manufacturing customers. Works with quality, materials and other support departments to meet all targeted goals.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Check / validate precision component parts on various Machining lines/departments as per the requirements indicated by various drawing / blueprints or Work Instructions. Primary areas to focus.

  • Conduct First-Off & Last-Off Inspections

  • In process Inspection

  • Final Inspection.

  • Audit Key Processes daily (Yellow Pan, In process Inspection, & Tool Change)

  • Dock Audits

  • Manage External Suppliers

  • Complete Customer's PPAP's as required

  • Processing RMA's & CAR's

  • Document and / or report deviations from specifications and tolerance.

  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • Follow ALL policies and procedures required by the Company.
  • Follow instruction from your Quality Supervisor / Manager as instructed.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or relevant role.
  • Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.).
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
  • Speak and a clear understanding of the English language.
  • Be able to communicate with others as well as working in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T.

Working conditions: Fast-paced manufacturing environment, tight deadlines, repetitive task.

Physical requirements: Weight handling up to 18.14 kg (40 lbs). Standing for extended periods.

Shift Time: 7AM to 4PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
