**Must have Food Experience**
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Management System in place at the facility, and ensuring that raw ingredients, in-process products, and finished products meet regulatory requirements, as well as internal and customer specifications. Quality Control Technicians will ensure that all policies, programs, and controls related to the safety and quality of the finished products continue to be effectively implemented.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Inspection and completion of Pre-operations and Operations monitoring activities and record
- HACCP System monitoring activities and record completion
- Microbial testing for product and equipment
- Equipment calibration
- Perform monitoring procedures related to production and quality activities to ensure production procedures are being followed and customer specifications and regulatory requirements are being met
- Communicate with Management regarding deviations found during pre-operational and operational inspections
- Monitoring of allergen control
- Responsible for ensuring finished products and raw ingredients are properly labeled and stored (i.e. allergen, WIP, finished product)
- Deliver GMP, CCP training to new employees

**Education and/or Experience**
- Degree or Diploma in Food Sciences, Min. 2 years in a food production Quality Assurance and/or HACCP
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical and food safety data involving typical microbiological and other analysis related to food processing techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Programs
- Willingness to learn and grow in the job and to be able to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and as part of a Team
- Working knowledge and experience in food processing legislation an asset

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
