Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our digitalized dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to making patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their dental experience.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and orthodontic treatments.
  • Prepare and organize treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with the dental receptionist for efficient patient flow.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures and provide support to young patients to alleviate anxiety.

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with dental software systems such as Paradigm is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records and treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Monday to Friday; weekends off.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
