We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and excellent interpersonal abilities, as you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Oryx.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, candidates with relevant training may be considered.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Oryx is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus but not required.
- Skills in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) may be helpful for certain procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Licence/Certification:
- Certified Dental Assistant - Level One (required)
- HARP Certificate (required)
