Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and excellent interpersonal abilities, as you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Oryx.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, candidates with relevant training may be considered.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Oryx is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
  • Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus but not required.
  • Skills in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) may be helpful for certain procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Licence/Certification:

  • Certified Dental Assistant - Level One (required)
  • HARP Certificate (required)
