Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Collaborates with senior leaders and executives to understand annual business needs and shapes marketing priorities, ensuring alignment to yearly organizational goals. Leads the development and execution of high-impact strategic marketing programs that align with annual business objectives and address emerging priorities. Leads a team of direct reports, providing mentorship, guidance and career development.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supports the Senior Manager, Brand and Marketing in developing the annual strategic plan, ensuring marketing initiatives effectively align and support projected business objectives.

Prepares and presents high-impact program plans to business partners, stakeholders, senior leaders and executives for the purpose of garnering awareness, advocacy and approval and proactively solicits diverse perspectives.

Provides leadership on initiatives for the division that drive business objectives. Guides their team through program development and delivery, ensure plans remain adaptable and aligned to deliver on evolving organizational needs while ensuring KPI and goal success, and direct report development and growth.

Identifies opportunities to streamline programs, create efficiencies, and improve cross-program alignment, collaborating with the Marketing Leadership Team when opportunities are discovered.

Partners with internal and external stakeholders on the availability, creation and tracking of data, KPIs, insights and research required to strengthen program strategy, program results, and to enable the tracking and advancement of marketing efforts.

Monitors and recommends adaptations to annual plans in response to emerging needs, resource availability and changing corporate priorities. Works with stakeholders and Senior Manager, Marketing on changes to ensure the successful delivery or work and approval of program plans throughout the year.

Partners with Senior Advisor, Marketing on team and program resourcing, alignment and development of team processes and templates, maintenance and division of team budget, and team cultural plans and programs.

Fosters positive working relationships with direct reports and recommends educational/career opportunities individually and as a working team including training, coaching, development, performance management and all other people management practices.

Acts on the Senior Manager's behalf during absences. Oversight of Marketing Senior Advisor direct reports during absences.

Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The requirements for this job are acquired through a completion of University Degree in Business and/or Marketing with specialization in omni-channel marketing experience and digital campaigns plus 6 years of progressive related experience in leading the development and implementation of marketing services and programs leading to excellent customer experience preferably in a unionized environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Expert knowledge and ability to create marketing strategies in a complex business environment with a focus on customer experience across all omni-channel marketing platforms including WBS's, long-term visioning and brand execution.

Superior knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices, and techniques pertaining to public facing marketing campaigns, digital advertising, omni-channel marketing, and brand.

Advanced knowledge of marketing with an emphasis of customer experience and research methodologies.

Advanced interpersonal and communications skills to provide advice and presentations for marketing strategy, programs, and/or campaigns and the ability to communicate insights in an effective manner to many stakeholders' groups.

Superior business acumen to develop and implement marketing strategies, plans, tactics and related standards, policies, programs, initiatives, and campaigns across the enterprise.

Advanced problem solving and decision-making skills to identify optimum approach and methodology to achieve marketing objectives.

Advanced analytical skills in analyzing business situations and developing solutions.

Advanced leadership, development and team building skills to manage reporting staff in diverse functional areas.

Ability to build business and annual plans.

Other Information

Temporary employees are required for a specific period of time, and the anticipated term of your temporary assignment is 10 months. However, your length of employment may vary depending upon operational requirements, including the earlier return of any incumbent, if applicable, to the position to which you are being hired.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule

37.5 hours per week.

This is a full-time temporary position with a term of 10 months.

Work Designation

Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

Rate of Pay

The salary for this position ranges from $97,600 - $146,400 per annum . Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.

The Total Compensation Package, which includes Extended Health, Dental, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan upon eligibility as well as other employment offerings will be discussed in detail as your application progresses.
