Role Description

This is a hybrid role for an Occupational Therapist at our clinic, ProActive Rehab in Huntsville, ON, with opportunities for partial remote work. The Occupational Therapist will assess and treat clients to improve their daily functioning and overall quality of life. Responsibilities include conducting client evaluations, developing and implementing personalized therapy plans related to mental health and physical disability. The role also involves liaising with referral sources, multidisciplinary teams, and engaging in client and caregiver education.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in client assessments, and goal setting
  • Proficiency in recommending environmental modifications, and ergonomic solutions
  • Experience or strong interest in mental health and occupational health
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
  • Time management and organizational abilities for handling a diverse caseload
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques including psychoeducation, CBT, and concussion management
  • Current registration and valid license with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary or clinical environment is beneficial
