**Rate of Pay: $33.94 - $47.04 per hour***

**The Mental Health Outpatient Program (MHOP) requires a highly organized team player who will join our interprofessional team to assist us in carrying out the mission of St. Joseph's Care Group. The Occupational Therapist role requires knowledge and related experience with triage and decision guide processes, functional assessments, and the complexity of mental health concerns. It also requires an appreciation of accessibility, accountability, best practices and evaluation. MHOP provides interprofessional holistic programming that includes client-centred strength based care and self management principles.***

**Qualifications**:

- **Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario**:

- **Knowledge and experience with a Decision Guide model of care, motivational interviewing and strengths-based approaches to care, psychosocial rehabilitation and the principles of self-management**:

- **Knowledge and experience working with an adult population with serious and persistent mental health concerns, and the development, execution and evaluation of treatment plans utilizing SMART goals**:

- **Experience and training in evidence-based therapies such as CBT is an asset**:

- **Excellent assessment, intervention and treatment skills**:

- **Experience in providing individual and group interventions, and psychoeducation**:

- **Excellent knowledge of internal and external community resources**:

- **Experience working within an interprofessional team setting with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, critical thinking skills, problem-solving and time management skills**:

- **Clear and effective communication skills in oral, written and electronic communications**:

- **Knowledge of the work and programs within St. Joseph's Care Group mental health and community resources, and an understanding of relevant legislation (i.e., Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, PHIPA), knowledge of other community services and programs for adults**:

- **Demonstrated regular attendance at work and adherence to the SJCG Principles of Conduct
**Assets**:

- **Knowledge of Indigenous worldviews, cultural practices and understand the impact of colonization on Indigenous populations, would be considered an asset
