We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Software Quality Engineer
to join our dynamic automotive development team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the highest levels of quality, reliability, and safety for our embedded software systems, with a strong focus on compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and maintain the software quality assurance (SQA) plan for embedded systems across the product lifecycle, from concept to production.
· Drive and monitor adherence to
Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
process requirements throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). Perform process audits and assessments against ASPICE models, identify non-conformance, and track corrective actions.
· Enforce and audit compliance with
MISRA C/C++
coding guidelines to ensure code robustness, portability, and safety. This includes configuring and utilizing static analysis tools and reviewing reports.
· Participate in and/or lead software design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing to ensure quality gates are met.
· Define and track key software quality metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, code complexity). Generate and present regular quality reports to stakeholder.
· Define and manage the necessary quality assurance tools, including configuration management, requirements management, change management, and static analysis tools.
· Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the software development and quality management system.
· Ensure all software quality documentation, including test plans, test reports, and quality records, are accurate and complete.
Educational and Skill Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field.
· Minimum of
3-5 years
of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Verification/Validation roles within the
automotive industry
or a similar highly regulated domain.
· Proven, hands-on experience in implementing and auditing projects against
ASPICE
(ideally an ASPICE Provisional Assessor certification or equivalent practical experience).
· Understanding of full software development lifecycle of embedded and IOT products.
· Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Confluence).
· Solid understanding of embedded C/C++ programming and software development processes for automotive ECUs.
· Familiarity with functional safety standards, such as
ISO 26262
, is a significant asset.
· Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
· Proficiency with configuration and change management tools (e.g., Git, Jira, DOORS).
· Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
