Job Summary
We are experiencing continuous growth and have an opening for a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager plays an integral role in developing and maintaining standardized quality control programs, procedures, standards, specifications, and reports across PEAK's global manufacturing facilities. This position is based in Richmond, BC.
This is a hybrid position—work onsite Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain standardized quality programs, procedures, forms, and checklists; define critical control points in conjunction with technical and operations staff.
- Conduct formal investigations, including non‑conforming products and customer complaints.
- Conduct random product quality inspections and monitor inventories.
- Contact vendors regarding product issues; determine root causes and identify solutions.
- Ensure manufacturing/production processes comply with PEAK's onboarding program and the required social, quality, and security standards.
- Act as the key contact with customers' auditors (regarding social, quality, and security standards) and be responsible for implementing corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers' specifications.
- Develop, review, update, and maintain product inspection report templates.
- Stay current with quality management trends and compliance requirements; proactively recommend ways to improve products and mitigate risks on a timely basis.
- Train and develop Quality Control Inspectors.
- Develop test protocols, implement test programs, and analyze testing results.
- Confirm compliance with all regulatory requirements for our products (e.g., building codes, environmental).
- Lead the manufacturing of our existing products and raw materials in new and existing factories, including all aspects of quality control.
- Ensure product quality and compliance throughout the product development process, from concept to commercial launch.
- Drive product and process improvements: simplify process design and trial more cost‑effective materials.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager(s).
Qualifications
- 15 years' experience in a quality management role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
- Hands‑on experience conducting product quality inspections and troubleshooting non‑conforming products.
- Solid experience resolving product quality issues without compromising product compliance.
- Ability to stay up to date with quality management trends and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or CAD engineering software.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Sound communication skills; fluency in Mandarin is required.
- Meticulous and detail‑oriented with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a 'can‑do' attitude.
Compensation
Starting at $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
