Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including exams, cleanings, and complex treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
- Ensure patient comfort and address their questions or concerns
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/out processes, including duties of a Dental Receptionist
- Assist with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and medical terminology standards
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software including Dentrix, Epic, and CAD systems
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Experience in dental assisting with certification or relevant training preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control standards
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures in the dental field
