We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics Functional Business Analyst (BA) with proven experience in migrating Great Plains. This role is essential for transforming business processes and ensuring that migration to Microsoft Dynamics is seamless and efficient. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both Microsoft Dynamics and Great Plains, as well as the ability to analyze business needs, gather requirements, and effectively communicate solutions. Candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement, implement best practices, and drive operational excellence across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant transformation projects and make a tangible impact.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for the migration from Great Plains to Microsoft Dynamics.

Analyze existing Great Plains solution and the challenges/painpoints to meet business requirements.

Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement during the migration project.

Design and configure Microsoft Dynamics solutions to meet business needs and specifications.

Facilitate workshops and meetings to communicate project status, gather feedback, and align stakeholders.

Develop and execute test plans to ensure system integrity and data accuracy post-migration.

Provide training and support to users during and after the migration process to ensure smooth adoption of the new system.

Assist in the development of project documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, and user manuals.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics.

Proven experience in migrating Great Plains systems to Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.

Experience in process mapping and creating documentation for business processes.

Familiarity with SQL and data extraction techniques to support data migration activities.

Nice to Have:

Experience in migrating Great Plains to Microsoft Dynamics with Canadian Public or broader public sector(e.g. provincial or municipal sector)
