Job Description
CEDA is currently looking to hire a local Industrial Sandblaster & Coater in the Bonnyville area. This role will primarily be based in a shop environment with deployment to various site locations as required.
Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville area.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in industrial coating & sandblasting, within the oilfield and fabrication environments. They take pride in producing high-quality work, understand the importance of safety and precision, and can adapt to both shop and field settings.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sandblasting material and doing the proper testing and documentation
- Select appropriate coating and mix as per manufacturers specifications
- Testing the atmosphere and paint/coating thicknesses and filling out the required documentation
- Holiday testing when required and filling out the proper documentation
- Working safely and maintaining a clean working environment
- Complete jobs in a timely manor
- Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance
- Coordinate with onsite client representatives
- Drive to and from various sites in a company vehicle
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of related work experience operating various types of sandblasting & coating equipment is an asset
- NACE Level 1 or 2 certification, would be an asset
- Knowledgeable in conventional and airless spray applications an asset
- Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with na clean 5 year driver's abstract
- Valid H2S Alive & CSO are required
- Fall Protection & AWP certificates are an asset, we will provide training and Confined Space are an asset
- Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Skills:
- You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Experience with trouble shooting issues in the field
- Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
