Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced coaters and industrial painters to add to our team. Preference given to certified NACE Level 1 or 2 Coating Inspector to support our sandblasting and coating shop operations at TankSafe inc. This is a full-time position based at our shop in Red Deer.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Special focus on safety of themselves and others in their work area
  • Provide Quality Control inspection on shop projects
  • Understanding of surface preparation requirements for protective coating systems and application
  • Coating and Painting applications to outlined job specifications
  • Understanding of industry standards (SSPC, NACE, AMPP), and ability to perform
  • Ability to follow complex instruction and attention to detail are required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Industrial abrasive blasting and coating experience required.
  • NACE Level 1 or 2 Coating Inspector certificate. (Preference)
  • Knowledge of maintenance and operation of blasting, coating and other related equipment.
  • Experience with Devchem 253 and 256 Internal Coatings
  • Experience with Enamels, Polyurethanes and Epoxy products required.
  • Willing to learn and take direction – Safety, Quality & Team Orientated.
  • Ability to work at our Red Deer shop daily (day shift).
  • Organized, ability to prioritize project requirements and schedules as directed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years coating in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with quality control paperwork and inspection.
  • Punctual, engaged, good communication skills & fit for duty always.

Location & Schedule

Shop Location: Red Deer, Alberta

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00AM start time.

Typical Hours: 40 Hours / Week

Overtime on as needed basis

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25-$45 per hour

Experience:

  • Sandblasting, Painting & Coating: 2 years (preferred)

Certification

  • NACE Level 1 or 2 Coating Inspector Certification (Preferred)
