Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Wall Panel Design Manager to lead and oversee the design of multi-family wood-frame structures. This position requires a deep understanding of modern framing assemblies, MiTek software proficiency, and familiarity with British Columbia Building Code (BCBC) requirements. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in digital design and a strong ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the wall panel design team to deliver accurate, efficient designs for multi-family wood-frame structures.
  • Utilize MiTek software for the creation and optimization of digital designs.
  • Ensure designs meet modern framing assembly standards and BCBC compliance.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver designs that align with project specifications and timelines.
  • Oversee quality control and design accuracy, ensuring designs meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters.
  • Stay up to date on advancements in wood-frame construction, software updates, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital design for multi-family wood-frame structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in MiTek software.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern framing assemblies.
  • Familiarity with BCBC (British Columbia Building Code) requirements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
