EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Expressions of interest are invited from qualified individuals to provide coordination services for the Mount Waddington Health Network (MWHN) for a 15 month term (with option for renewal).

The Mount Waddington Health Network (MWHN) is a group committed to improving the quality of health care decisions, health services, and wellbeing in the Mount Waddington communities. Established in 2007, the MWHN serves as an open forum for discussion on the social determinants of health, the identification of health service priorities, community and health services planning and development, and other issues related to the health status of Mount Waddington citizens and communities.

Coordinator Role Overview

The MWHN Coordinator provides leadership in facilitating regional partnerships and promotes and advocates the MWHN's projects and initiatives. The Coordinator is the primary contact and provides administrative support to MWHN. A successful candidate brings the following qualities:

  • Excels at developing trust-based and collaborative relationships with team members, community partners, local First Nations, and government agencies.
  • Practices community-engagement when implementing initiatives.
  • Defines the MWHN achievable projects & initiatives considering staff and financial resources and elaborates various ways to achieve them.
  • Apply big picture and long-range vision and operationalizes long term goals into daily tasks.
  • Aligns staff, sub committees and general membership to MWHN 's vision and mission.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Practices a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, ethics, boundaries, and good judgment.
  • Develops systems of communication and creates opportunities for stakeholders to share knowledge and gain common understandings through meetings, sub-committees, working groups, outreach activities, workshops, presentations, and electronic sources (e.g., website, newsletters, social media, etc.);
  • Performs other tasks as directed and assigned by the MWHN Executive and Partners in accordance with the MWHN's Terms of Reference.

Administrative Duties

  • The incumbent develops and monitors the Network's fiscal guidelines and procedures. Develops, monitors, and reports on overall operational annual budget, and provides regular budget reports to the MWHN Executive Committee and Partners.
  • Performs all aspects of contract administration, develops appropriate monitoring practices and reports to MWRHD's Board & CAO the progress of the projects and finance regularly.

The MWHN intends to engage the Coordinator under a contract for services, with a maximum amount of $84,000.00 including expenses and supplies per annum.

This position requires the successful candidate to reside within the Regional District of Mount Waddington.
