Job Summary

We are seeking a Red Seal Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing HVAC issues, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems and equipment across our facilities. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure optimal operational efficiency. The Mechanical Technician will play a critical role in supporting our infrastructure through preventive maintenance and prompt troubleshooting of mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems including boilers, climate master, HVAC units, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as pumps, valves, belts, and motors.
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment.
  • Assist with appliance repair and other mechanical tasks related to construction or facility upgrades.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for installation and repair projects.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or technician in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Strong background in plumbing, welding, boiler systems, HVAC maintenance, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with mechanical schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with appliance repair, construction projects, or general maintenance work.
  • Previous experience working with schematics and technical manuals is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to mechanical systems is essential. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment requiring technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth operation of critical mechanical systems within our facilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
