Overview:

We're looking for a skilled and reliable In-Home Independent Pet Groomer to join our team as a contractor. As an independent professional, you'll manage your own grooming clients, schedule, and services while benefiting from our established location, equipment, and clientele base.

Responsibility:

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services with compassion and professionalism, ensuring every pet looks and feels their best.

  • Provide full-service grooming for dogs and/or cats, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, nail care, and styling according to breed standards or client preferences.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized grooming environment.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming options, coat conditions, and pet care recommendations.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, client records, and payments (if applicable to independent setup).
  • Follow all safety and sanitation standards to ensure the health and well-being of all pets.
  • Handle pets with patience and care, ensuring a calm and positive grooming experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a professional pet groomer (2 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of various breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques.
  • Own grooming tools and equipment (or willing to use shop equipment if available).
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional client relationships.
  • Current grooming certifications or training (preferred).
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills.

Compensation

  • Independent contractor position — groomer retains an agreed-upon percentage of service revenue
