Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs in our community. As a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter, you will ensure that each pet receives the attention and activity they need while maintaining a positive relationship with their owners. This position is ideal for individual who loves animals, enjoy being outdoors, and possess strong customer service skills. This position is for downtown Toronto. You must be able to commute to both places easily within 10-20 min MAX.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- IDEAL WORKER - is someone who works or has classes in the evenings, or flexibility in their day, and can be available on call. This is a day position, NOT evening.
- We are looking for someone who can commit to 2 days a week on the same two days each week.
- Walks are between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm, so we need full availability on those two days for the full day.
- This person would also be responsible for cat visits as well. Cat visits are 30 minutes long, they require you to follow clear instructions from the clients. Cat visits can happen any time during the day however many clients like the visits in the morning or late afternoon, including weekends.
- The locations needed are downtown close to St Lawrence Market and Corktown.
Responsibilities
- You will have a schedule when you are hired to work.
- You will also be responsible for helping another dog walker out in the neighbourhood from time to time.
- You must live in Toronto or can transit into Toronto in less than 20 minutes.
- No car needed as we walk dogs on leash
- Walk dogs in various weather conditions while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding walking routes, feeding schedules, and any special needs.
- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanour when interacting with both pets and their owners.
- Monitor the behaviour of dogs during walks to ensure they are comfortable and engaged.
- Provide updates to pet owners after each walk, including any notable observations about their dog's behaviour or health.
- Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a clean environment.
- Report any concerns regarding a dog's health or behaviour to the owner promptly.
- Strong passion for animals and experience handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while adhering to scheduled appointments.
- Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy, as this role involves caring for pets in their homes.
- A valid driver's license may be required if transportation of pets is necessary.
