Role overview:

As a bookkeeper you will be managing financial transactions, records sales and expenses, cash management, tracks inventory and generating financial reports to support business decisions ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and working papers
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable, invoices, payments, and monitor aging
  • Collaborate with operations to enhance workflows including approvals, vendor bills, and PO matching
  • Support annual audit and internal controls compliance
  • Process payroll, benefits, statutory filings, and serve as key contact
  • Perform administrative tasks such as bank deposits, vouchers, correspondence, and calls
Requirements
  • Accounting education or related experience preferred
  • Experience with AR, AP, payroll, GST, remittances, and bank/credit card reconciliation is an asset.
  • Process employee expenses
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, and related software
  • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams
  • Must live in West Kelowna) to attend office.
  • Cash flow planning is an asset
