CUSTOMER AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST - NORTH AMERICA
Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will support customers across North America and LATAM, helping them get the most from Solargis data and software. The role combines technical problem-solving with clear communication and relationship management. You'll run onboarding sessions, deliver product demos for new and existing customers, and spot upsell or cross-sell opportunities when they make sense.
This is a collaborative position. You'll work daily with our global support and technical teams in Bratislava, Slovakia, and partner closely with our North American sales team. You'll be a frontline representative of Solargis—meeting customers over video and email—and you'll coordinate with the Bratislava team to resolve complex issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer technical questions and guide customers to use Solargis products effectively.
- Own customer inquiries end-to-end: track, follow up, and resolve accurately and on time.
- Troubleshoot data, software, and methodology issues; escalate through established processes and drive them to closure.
- Help build and maintain resources (knowledge base articles, how-tos, white papers, webinars).
- Work with North American and LATAM sales to identify where existing customers can benefit more from our services.
- Share customer feedback with technical and marketing teams to improve products and processes.
- Join monthly reviews of inquiries and responses; contribute to support analytics and trend reporting.
- Bring the "voice of the customer" into product roadmap and design discussions.
- Collaborate across Solargis (customer support, CTO office, product, sales, marketing, finance, legal) to deliver the right solution for each client.
- Propose practical improvements to services and internal processes that raise customer satisfaction and support sales.
- Represent Solargis at tradeshows, workshops, and conferences, primarily in the U.S. and Canada.
- As your expertise grows, contribute to technical papers for international conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with strong academic performance.
- 1–3 years of experience, ideally in a scientific, research, or technical product environment.
- Fluent English; clear written and verbal communication and confident presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization; able to manage multiple customer issues and stakeholders.
- Required: understanding of and/or strong interest in solar energy, photovoltaics, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Nice to have: experience with utility companies, solar developers, or other energy-sector stakeholders.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive compensation with a significant performance-based bonus component.
- Flexible hours and work policy.
- One additional week of vacation above the legal minimum each year.
- Technical and personal growth through meaningful responsibilities.
- Business travel and participation in conferences, workshops, courses, and webinars.
- Place of work: in person at the Solargis Americas office, downtown Toronto.
- Start date: As soon as possible.
