Responsibilities and Duties


• Network Implementation and Administration including creating network plans and

network diagrams, support, maintenance, re-design, and implementation.


• Evaluate and estimate new telecom implementations (LAN, WAN, Security, etc.) to

determine scope and effort required.

Build reports as the need arises including Capacity & Performance, Availability, SLA, Volumetric

and others.

Team leadership responsibilities including collaboration with various stakeholders (i.e.: CEO/Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Information Technology and Project Managers,Client Delivery Managers, & Architects) regarding projects, implementation, and operational issues.

Deployment, growth and ongoing maintenance and operational management of the various infrastructure technologies deployed at the client's company 

Must have significant hands-on experience working with the provisioning and supporting of Virtualized Windows and various Operating Systems.

Communicate easily with senior executives, IT personnel, front-line client facing personnel and co-workers.

Provide best practices and valuable guidance on various technology platforms.

Microsoft - Active Directory, Office 365

Virtualization - VMware SRM, VMware vSan, vCloud

Storage - SAN/NAS/Unified Storage deployments, Dell iSCSI and SAN, Hyper Converged Virtual

Sound knowledge of DNS and VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL, etc.)

Ensure that IT security policies are maintained throughout the infrastructure, both internal and external facing devices/applications/services, etc.

Ensure that systems and operations comply with appropriate policies (i.e.: Security, Operations, Incident and Change Management, System Development Life Cycle).

Maintain configuration control of all assigned systems in accordance with established procedures.

Understand new business requirements then research, recommend, test and integrate technologies into the existing infrastructure to support that business requirement.

Document technical requirements, justification, recommendations, costing, resource requirement, time, and materials etc. to address business requests.

Provide second level and/or third level support to all other IT areas such as, Technical Support team, Development group etc. as well as holding cross training sessions for these groups to help support new technologies before they are deployed.

Other duties as assigned.

• Strong experience with SAN, NAS design, implementation and large data centre server and network environments, preferably DELL EMC.


• Strong experience with VMware design, implementation, administration, and management.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum 10-15 years provisioning and supporting cloud and data center services within a call centre environment is a plus.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position in a large network environment.

Experience in network operations and implementation and a good understanding of LAN, WAN, and firewall management methodologies.

Industry certifications in one or more of the following:

Microsoft - MCSE Server certification

Cisco: CCNA, CCNP or equivalent

Firewalls: Fortigate, Cisco Meraki,

VMware - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) or other VMWare

SAN/Storage Certifications

Veeam VMCE and/or ADO

CISSP, CISA
