Marketing Content Specialist
Full-time, permanent | Hybrid (Calgary, AB)
Salary Range: $62,000 - $70,000
Apply by November 28, 2025
Company Overview
We're an HX (human experience) company helping brands connect, grow, and thrive through Marketing and HR that starts—and stays—with people.
At Forward Level, we believe people are at the heart of everything worth building. That's why we focus on creating real, meaningful connections within organizations and out in the world. Whether we're shaping culture, building brand experiences, deepening client relationships, or helping teams thrive, our approach is simple: treat people like people. Because when you take care of your people—employees, customers, and partners—everything else comes together. We help businesses show up in ways that feel authentic, memorable, and deeply human, turning everyday moments into experiences that move people forward.
About the Role
As a Marketing Content Specialist, you'll step into a collaborative and creative role that combines content creation, content marketing, campaigns, social media, and client management. You'll help shape and execute marketin g strategies that reflect our clients' brands, business goals, and audience needs.
We're looking for an intermediate marketer with a content-first mindset —someone who is digitally fluent, confident in managing day-to-day marketing, and ready to advise clients with support. You'll contribute both big-picture thinking and hands-on marketing, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to bring engaging content to life across platforms.
You'll focus on helping our clients build meaningful brand engagement. If you enjoy managing content calendars, creating scroll-stopping posts, spotting trends, and want to deepen your strategic and advisory skills, then this is the role for you.
This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration at our Calgary Beltline office (3 days/week) with remote flexibility during regular M–F business hours.
What You'll Do
Strategic Content Marketing
- Help shape and deliver compelling brand experiences. Understand client goals, brand voices and tone, and target audience needs.
- Contribute to the development of annual marketing plans and identify key opportunities.
- Build and manage content calendars that support consistent storytelling across digital and print channels.
- Collaborate on content themes and topics that connect with audiences through social, email, web, and events.
- Support content marketing buildouts by assisting with graphic design using Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express—bringing a keen design eye to visual layouts, brand consistency, and storytelling.
- Apply insights from data and research to inform content decisions.
Campaigns
- Lead day-to-day marketing execution across platforms: social, email, landing pages, webinars, events, and more.
- Develop briefs and contribute to multi-channel campaign planning (organic and paid).
- Support campaign delivery—from audience targeting and messaging to scheduling and optimization.
- Partner with vendors or media buyers when needed.
Social Media
- Own social content planning and execution.
- Write short and long-form content, capture media, and graphics/photography editing for platform readiness.
- Create, edit, and publish short-form social videos (Reels, Stories, and LinkedIn video) that align with brand messaging and drive engagement across channels.
- Capture, edit, and curate on-brand photography for social media, ensuring visuals are compelling, consistent, and aligned with the brand aesthetic.
- Utilize scheduling tools (such as SocialPilot) and AI-powered editing tools to streamline your workflow.
- Source organic social trends, strategic hashtags, trending audio, and utilize social SEO for optimal reach.
- Spot performance trends and suggest content optimization opportunities.
Client / Project Coordination
- Collaborate with internal team members and the Marketing Director to support overall marketing delivery across multiple clients.
- Maintain up-to-date project timelines using project management tools like Teamwork and Microsoft 365.

- Support the preparation of content briefs and project plans.
- Contribute to a smooth and collaborative project environment by keeping stakeholders informed, organized, and aligned. Attend project meetings and internal check-ins.
- Uphold accuracy and quality standards across all projects.
Analytics + Reporting
- Monitor KPIs and engagement data to evaluate content and campaign performance.
- Contribute to ongoing reporting, learning, and recommendations for improvement. Helping to connect metrics to broader marketing goals and client growth.
What You'll Bring
- A post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of B2B marketing experience in an agency or in-house team environment.
- Hands-on experience with content creation and content management across channels.
