Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. In this exciting role, you will play a vital role in driving new business growth and building strong broker relationships.
Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities, including new lines of business, and implement strategies to retain existing broker partnerships.
Partner with the Marketing team to create impactful marketing campaigns and develop top-tier marketing materials.
Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to understand trends and pricing strategies.
Build strong and lasting relationships with brokers, address their needs, and integrate their feedback to improve processes.
Analyze market opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and develop compelling business cases for product enhancements.
Evaluate networking and trade show opportunities and take a lead role in representing the company at industry events.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a broker-facing insurance role, such as Underwriting or Business Development.
3+ years of leadership experience in sales or marketing.
Active pursuit of or completion of a relevant insurance industry designation (CIP, FCIP, CRM).
Strong understanding of broker workflows, operations, and technology.
Proven ability to develop and manage relationships, negotiate effectively, and deliver impactful presentations.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Southwestern Ontario.
Bonus Skills:
Experience in marketing and advertising.
Motivational leadership skills and strong business acumen.
Excellent collaboration, integrity, and negotiation skills
