Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. In this exciting role, you will play a vital role in driving new business growth and building strong broker relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including new lines of business, and implement strategies to retain existing broker partnerships.

  • Partner with the Marketing team to create impactful marketing campaigns and develop top-tier marketing materials.

  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to understand trends and pricing strategies.

  • Build strong and lasting relationships with brokers, address their needs, and integrate their feedback to improve processes.

  • Analyze market opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and develop compelling business cases for product enhancements.

  • Evaluate networking and trade show opportunities and take a lead role in representing the company at industry events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a broker-facing insurance role, such as Underwriting or Business Development.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in sales or marketing.

  • Active pursuit of or completion of a relevant insurance industry designation (CIP, FCIP, CRM).

  • Strong understanding of broker workflows, operations, and technology.

  • Proven ability to develop and manage relationships, negotiate effectively, and deliver impactful presentations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Southwestern Ontario.
