We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Automotive Painter to join our team In this energetic role, you will be responsible for transforming vehicles through expert painting techniques, ensuring a flawless finish that meets high-quality standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools
- Use buffing machines and polishing compounds to achieve smooth, glossy surfaces that meet aesthetic standards
- Perform auto body repairs such as filling dents, straightening panels, and welding to restore vehicle integrity before painting
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including color matching, paint formulas, and repair procedures
- Assist with auto glass installation and removal when necessary during the repainting process
- Collaborate with team members on vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects to ensure timely completion
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or dealership service environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems related to vehicle repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as airless paint sprayers and buffing machines
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service practices is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in auto restoration and detailing
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto glass replacement processes
- Previous experience working with dealership or auto shop teams is advantageous
