Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
  • Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools
  • Use buffing machines and polishing compounds to achieve smooth, glossy surfaces that meet aesthetic standards
  • Perform auto body repairs such as filling dents, straightening panels, and welding to restore vehicle integrity before painting
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including color matching, paint formulas, and repair procedures
  • Assist with auto glass installation and removal when necessary during the repainting process
  • Collaborate with team members on vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects to ensure timely completion

Requirements

  • Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or dealership service environments is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems related to vehicle repairs
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as airless paint sprayers and buffing machines
  • Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service practices is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in auto restoration and detailing
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto glass replacement processes
  • Previous experience working with dealership or auto shop teams is advantageous
