Overview

We are seeking a skilled automotive painter to join our team, responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to various surfaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive or dealership environments, possess mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable working with a variety of hand and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and safety are paramount. Candidates should be capable of heavy lifting and have a background in automotive repair or mechanic work to ensure precision and efficiency in their tasks.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
  • Apply primer, paint, and finishing coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Ensure all surfaces are evenly coated and meet quality standards
  • Use hand tools and power tools to repair or prepare surfaces prior to painting
  • Assist with automotive repairs when necessary, including minor mechanical tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
  • Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines

Skills

  • Dealership experience or background in automotive painting preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair or general mechanics
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes
  • Experience operating power tools used in painting and surface preparation
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required for materials and equipment
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair processes is a plus
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.20-$30.54 per hour
