Our Fleming and Baron brand is looking to add a Production Quality Manager (PQM) to our Team This is a fully on-site role based out of our Woodbridge, Ontario manufacturing facility.

What would you do as our Production Quality Manager (PQM)?
You will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations while ensuring adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives. This role combines leadership in production efficiency with a strong focus on quality assurance, driving operational excellence and product reliability. You'll collaborate across departments to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
You would also:
- Manage supervisors and floor teams with a focus on achieving OFR.
- Ensures production schedules are met with minimal quality losses.
- Ensure adherence to safety, schedule, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implements quality containment and poke yokes.
Lead quality training.
Manage both production output and quality assurance.
Implement quality systems (ISO, Lean, etc.).
Analyze defects, downtime, and yields to identify trends.
- Works closely with ME on process-related issues.
Be responsible for KPI Accountability: First Pass Yield (FPY), Scrap/Rework Rate, Production schedule adherence, and Quality Incident Rate
Lead supervisors and frontline staff as well as drive training, coaching, shift handovers, labour disputes and supervisor performance appraisals.
- Implement and audit production SOPs and quality checks.
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Perform other duties and special projects as required.
Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
- Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
The Skills and Experience you need:
- University degree in operations/related field or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
10+ years of people management experience.
Extensive unionized experience an asset.
Lean or Six Sigma experience would be a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to demonstrate a high-level of accountability and ownership of a quality processes and plans.
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
Propensity for continuous improvement and finding efficiencies.
- Proficient in MS Word/Excel (intermediate level) and accounting systems.
- Able to collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, detailing, scheduling, supply-chain, shipping and various levels of management.
