Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, and handle administrative tasks with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with dental or medical office experience to contribute to a positive patient experience while working in a supportive environment. Candidates with familiarity in Tracker are highly preferred. This position also offers an opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and handle appointment requests
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical records systems Tracker
- Collect payments and explain billing procedures to patients
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient service
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist, including working directly in a dental clinic setting
- Proficiency with dental software Tracker
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and office management tools
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
