We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. Experience with Medical Receptionist an asset.
The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, and handle administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency with electronic medical records systems. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and supporting the overall operations of the dental office.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and take messages
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Collect payments and process billing using Epic or other electronic health record systems
- Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing and documentation
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, correspondence, and inventory management
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and administrative procedures
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office is a plus
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to provide exceptional patient service
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.49-$29.84 per hour
