Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, particularly in a casual restaurant as well as fine dining environments. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to customer service, and a passion for food management. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high standards of food safety, and fostering a positive work environment for staff.

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, inventory control, booking entertainment and cash handling.
  • Manage staff training and development programs to enhance team performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Implement effective budgeting strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining quality service. and targets
  • Supervise daily activities within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Utilize POS systems, update pricing and menu items.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Conduct interviews and manage hiring processes to build a skilled team that aligns with the restaurant's vision.
  • Monitor food production processes to ensure quality control and consistency in menu offerings.
  • Lead shift management efforts to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Experience with inventory control systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting in a restaurant setting.
  • Background in hospitality management preferred.
