The Physician will utilize advanced electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations
- Diagnose medical conditions and develop personalized treatment plans
- Administer medications and oversee medication management for patients
- Provide acute care services in hospital or outpatient settings
- Manage pain and implement pain management protocols
- Coordinate with specialists for complex cases, including pediatrics and home care patients
- Collect and analyze patient data to monitor health trends and treatment effectiveness
- Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health records (Epic, Cerner)
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care
- Participate in research initiatives to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and confidentiality protocols
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine
- Proven experience in hospital settings or acute care environments
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner is preferred
- Background in research or data collection related to healthcare is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to handle complex cases involving pain management, pediatrics, or home care services
- Prior experience in medical office operations or healthcare administration is advantageous
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advancements
