Why is this role important?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Social Media Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for driving our social media strategy through data-driven insights and optimization. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for day-to-day reporting, analyzing social media performance, and interpreting data to guide our strategy. Your expertise in understanding social media platforms like Meta, TikTok, and others will be fundamental to refining our approach and enhancing our brand presence.
Responsibilities:
Manage overall day-to-day operations of brand social media channels, including content scheduling, posting, and moderation.
Post relevant social media content to optimize engagement with fans and followers to drive brand loyalty and brand resonance.
Show measurable results in community engagement and growth.
Serve as the main point of contact for our local social media strategy. Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing goals and regional needs.
Utilize social media data and metrics for analyzing trends, monitoring performance, and optimizing strategies.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging social media platforms
Continuously analyze competitors and identify opportunities to strengthen our social media strategies and ways to improve.
Stay informed about relevant social media regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
Bring a social activation to life, leading through each stage from strategy and planning, to execution and reporting
Work in collaboration with enterprise teams (brand marketing, creative and content) to develop compelling social creative
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education equivalent to a college diploma or university degree in marketing, media, or a related field
Proven community management experience
Demonstrated social media expertise from strategy through execution.
Deep understanding of social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
Working knowledge of social media tools (Social Studio, Meta Business Suite)
Excellent writing and editing skills
Exercise sound judgment to issue resolution of day-to-day operational challenges
Ability to work with autonomy, follow instructions and work as part of an integrated team
Experience with both paid and organic social is an asset
Ability to execute with flawless detail while keeping visibility of the broader strategy
