Restoration and Empowerment for Social Transition (REST) Centres is a black led, black serving, not-for-profit organization incorporated in Peel Region. REST offers diverse programming aimed at providing a positive transition for youth leaving the shelter and care systems with the goal of preventing homelessness and providing youth with the support they need to reach their potential. Support programs include affordable housing, mentorship, counseling, education, life skills, employment training, and food support for those in need.

**SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING STRATEGIST (Volunteer Position)**

We are looking for a Social media strategist to join our volunteering team. You will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our web traffic and our brand awareness.

As a Social media strategist, you should have excellent multitasking skills to oversee all of our social media accounts in a cohesive way. If you have a creative way of thinking and of presenting our brand through multiple social media channels, we would like to make you part of our team.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our company web presence is aligned with our marketing strategies.

**Responsibilities**
- Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets
- Train and provide bi weekly coaching to social media team to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
- social media team to implement the strategy
- Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager
- Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
- An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them
- Familiarity with web design and publishing
- Must enjoy working as a team and providing coaching and mentoring to small team
- Ability to volunteer for 2-3 hours a week

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 3 per week

**Salary**: Up to $0.01 per hour
