Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, organized and detail-oriented full-time Dental Assistant to join our small, tight-knit team. This hybrid role supports both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients and staff. The ideal candidate is a team player who can delivery high-quality patient care as well as handle front desk responsibilities with professionalism and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in operatory areas.
- Take and develop dental X-rays.
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
Front Desk:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, in person and over the phone.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Maxident software.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
- Collect co-pays, payments, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Manage incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Must be a registered dental assistant.
- Surgical experience preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in dental software and technology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position
- No evening or weekend shifts
