Periodontics Dental Assistant — Part-Time

Sierra Dental Centre | Signal Hill

Sierra Dental Centre is expanding our Periodontics team and is looking for a reliable, professional Dental Assistant to join us on a very part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys specialty dentistry but does not want a full-time commitment.

Schedule

  • 2–4 days per month
  • Occasional extended or longer days based on patient demand
  • Perfect for maintaining hands-on assisting experience while keeping work–life balance

Upcoming dates include:

  • January 26–30
  • February 17–19
  • March 16–20
  • April 16–17

(Prior training dates TBA)

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Dental Assistant with 2+ years of experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to high-quality periodontal patient care
  • Experience withClearDent is an asset
  • Previous periodontics or specialty dentistry experience is an asset

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments
  • Assist the dentist during procedures and support smooth patient flow
  • Take and upload dental X-rays
  • Provide patient education and oral hygiene instruction
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records
  • Assist with scheduling and overall office flow
  • Review patient charts in preparation for appointments
