Your Role:
The
Payroll Specialist
will ensure smooth and efficient Payroll processes for LEO within dedicated markets. The position requires actively working with Service Now ticketing, payroll providers and other stakeholders, and holds responsibility for administration of all aspects of operational payroll tasks. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in U.S. payroll, with the flexibility to support the team and business as needed.
Your Responsibilities:
- Handle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal guides, with an eye for accuracy and deadlines
- Daily work with Service Now to monitor, respond to managers' and employees' questions and inquiries about payroll matters and policies
- Act as an expert in the field, when the need arises: support/take part in implementation of new payroll-related processes
- Audit payroll data vs HR data; making sure that data is accurate across the systems and platforms, and preparing/delivering relevant payroll content, when need arise
- Act as Payroll support for LEO Pharma managers and employees regarding matter related to their employment, employee lifecycle, benefits, internal policies, payroll and time & attendance inquiries
- Working closely, foster good relationship and working on improving Payroll processes with stakeholders such us HR Operations, HRBP, outsourced vendors, HRIS Team, Rewards Team, Finance, Internal Audit
- Administer and calculate compensation, rewards, and bonuses to employees; analyze/validate/support in creation of severance deals
- Manage employee Leave of Absence and Sickness
- Execute three phases of Payroll Runs successfully, controlled by the global Payroll Checklist along with agreed payroll calendars
- Pay components management: analyze, define, and submit new pay components and work schedules to HRIS Team for implementation. Participate in the UAT testing of new pay components, work schedules and overall enhancements of the payroll service
- Analyze the need and raise change requests for expanding/reducing/modifying the services we receive from our payroll outsourcing partners
- Being responsible in managing payroll annual wheel, inc. assuring and/or executing end of year activities, validating payroll calendars provided by vendors
- Being accountable for resolving finance queries related to pay- roll
- Keep Payroll working materials up-to-date along with agreed standards
- Follow local legislation changes that impact payroll and linking with relevant parties to ensure having changes reflected for market
Your Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience processing U.S. payroll. Experience working for a Global organization strong preferred
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Payroll processes
- Possess solid and in-depth insights into the use of Payroll data platforms and tools
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prove accuracy and attention to detail
- Be able to work as a team player in a process-driven environment
- Proficient in MS Office and related software
- Demonstrate a track record of driving results, consistently achieving outcomes even under tough circumstances
- Have a customer-focused mindset – able to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
The base salary range for this position is
$85,000-$100,000 CAD
per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
