About the role

We're looking for an Accounting Service Representative to join our growing team

What you'll do here:

• Accurately process and verify payments received, reconcile bank deposits and verify deposit totals.

• Prepare, compile and dispatch invoices, statements, reports and cheques.

• Record and post broker billing statements and payments in the payment register and accounting system.

• Reconcile basic accounts and resolve outstanding amounts.

• Review and resolve daily cash reports, correct and adjust journal entries and process cheque requisitions.

• Verify and post banking information, review new business, amend payment schedules, and process premium refunds for accounts.

• Handle unresolved issues regarding payments, disbursements, billing arrangements, payment methods and account discrepancies.

What you bring to the table:

• College Diploma in accounting (asset) or any combination of equivalent education and experience

• At least 1 year experience in a similar role

• Can consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed

• Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service

• Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills

• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset. Need to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking clients and colleagues across the country.

• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
