Marketing Manager
to lead our brand strategy and drive growth.
The Opportunity
The Marketing Manager, at The Picklr Canada, will be a driving force behind building our brand presence and franchise system growth in the Canadian market. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role requiring a blend of digital marketing expertise, event management skills, earned media and a strong understanding of building a brand. You will be responsible for defining, planning, and executing a holistic marketing calendar that supports both our national franchise goals and facilitating local club success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive
Annual Marketing Calendar
that aligns with business objectives and key seasonality/holiday opportunities.
- Strategic Planning:
Define target audiences, market positioning, and key messaging for The Picklr brand in Canada.
- Manage and allocate
the marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI across all channels.
2. Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Digital Campaign Management:
Lead the strategy, development, and execution of all paid and organic digital marketing campaigns (SEM, Lead Lists, Sales Pipeline Growth).
- Social Media Management:
Oversee all Canadian social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to drive engagement, growth, and brand awareness. This includes content strategy, creation oversight, community management, and performance reporting.
- Organize content for the
Canadian website/landing pages
, ensuring content is fresh, localized, and optimized for SEO.
3. Events & Activations
- National Event Execution:
Plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale national marketing events, including trade shows, brand activations, and support for Grand Opening events for new franchise locations.
- In-Club Marketing:
Leveraging existing franchise system content, customize a
Monthly Marketing Playbook
that includes Pro-Shop promotions, themed tournaments, and marketing toolkits for local franchise partners to execute effective club-level marketing.
- Manage vendor relationships
, negotiate contracts, and oversee logistics for all major events.
4. Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of all marketing campaigns and events against defined KPIs (e.g., leads generated, social engagement, club leads ).
- Use data and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and insights to optimize future strategies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years
of progressive experience in Marketing Management, with a focus on Digital Marketing and Events.
- Proven expertise in:
- Digital Marketing (Paid & Organic):
SEM, SEO, paid social media advertising (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads), email marketing.
- Social and Earned Media Strategy & Content:
A strong track record of growing social media presence and engagement and driving national and local PR opportunities.
- Marketing Strategy Development:
Experience creating and managing an annual marketing calendar/plan.
- Event Management:
Experience planning and executing both large national events and local/grassroots activations.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
- A passion for pickleball or the sports/fitness/leisure industry is a significant asset.
