How will you make an impact in this role?

We're passionate about our Cardmembers and constantly innovating to strengthen and deepen our relationships with them. As Analyst, Premium Products, you will play a key role on the Platinum and Centurion portfolios through the design and execution of product strategies.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of these premium Card products, including their associated services, benefits and capabilities. You will refine your analytical skills through compiling monthly performance dashboards, analyzing data, and extracting insights to inform product and campaign performance.

Responsibilities

Marketing
:

  • Assist in the strategic development of premium communication plans and measuring performance to inform future actions.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies and internal marketing teams to ensure effective messaging of the products within the portfolio to drive benefit awareness for prospects and Cardmembers.
  • Management of assets specific to the Premium portfolio with the goal of optimizing costs while maintaining a premium experience.

Strategy & Analytics
:

  • Prepare regular performance reports, analyze key business metrics, and develop recommendations to improve profitability and portfolio health.
  • Contribute to portfolio strategy efforts, including research, coordinating premium feature enhancements, and product refresh initiatives.
  • Gather and summarize insights on customer and competitive trends, analyzing and preparing data, reports and commentary to inform business decisions.

Management
:

  • Assist the day-to-day external and internal partner relationships.
  • Support the team to work more effectively across broader Amex teams to deliver enhanced efficiencies, processes, services and Cardmember experiences (Servicing, Legal, Compliance, Technologies, etc.).
  • Partner with internal marketing teams on developing communications and reviewing marketing materials for accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree (preferably Business/Marketing) with experience in product or marketing.
  • Proven self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive results and champion a project from conception through implementation and evaluation.
  • Experience developing partnerships and managing relationships.
  • Proven ability to analyze data sets; demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; emphasis on proposal development and the creation/delivery of effective presentations.
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking, project management, attention to detail and prioritization skills in a demanding environment.
  • Proven ability to support change and prioritize, with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, notably Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
