Feel good about a day at work Our group has three practices in Vancouver and we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Job description includes, but is not limited to:

  • Blood collection and catheter placement
  • Restraining animals for X-rays, blood collection, and examination
  • Calculating doses and dispensing medication
  • Monitoring anesthesia
  • Assisting with surgery
  • Communicating with clients
  • Understanding the hygienic protocol in the veterinary field

Qualifications

  • Certified Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience
  • Strong laboratory skills with experience in diagnostics
  • Excellent communication skills with pet owners and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate approach to animal care
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for veterinary medicine

Pay: from $22 per hour - depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping animals and the people who love them.

Competitive compensation includes Health Trust upon anniversary, two weeks of annual paid leave, 5 sick days pay per year, on-the-job training/education, and a great team to work with

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
