About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our Finance team as a Financial Accountant for the Winter semester (Jan-Apr). This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Support account reconciliations and journal entries
• Help maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with variance analysis and reporting
• Support internal audits and compliance activities
• Help with accounts payable/receivable processes as needed
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
