Our client is seeking a
Corporate
Accountant
for a
contract
position in
Halifax
, Nova Scotia. In this role, you will support corporate functions and business operations, leveraging strong technical accounting expertise, excellent verbal and written communication, and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Month-end and quarter-end analysis
  • Year-end preparation
  • General ledger reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • Working paper preparation
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support data gathering and efficiency
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar accounting role
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel & Word
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
