Our client, a long-standing, trusted, and continually growing group in
Halifax
is seeking a
Senior Corporate Accountant
to join their team. This permanent role is ideal for a detail-focused and organized individual who enjoys working hands-on in a collaborative finance setting.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Provide accounting, strategic planning, and analytical support
  • Assist with financial analysis, budget preparation, and reporting
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review journal entries
  • Regulatory reporting and tax filings
  • Month-end close activities
  • Working papers for year-end audits
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation currently in progress or near completion
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressive accounting experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other Office tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional judgment and commitment to confidentiality
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support evolving processes
