As we expand our operations to Edmonton, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Auto Repair Workshop Service Advisor to lead daily operations, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer service and technical excellence.
About the Role
We are seeking a customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team (Master Mechanic). As the primary point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional service experience by ensuring clear communication, accurate documentation, and efficient coordination between customers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Consult with mechanics regarding required repairs and available alternatives
- Clearly explain service recommendations, repair outcomes, and costs
- Write repair orders and prepare accurate estimates for customer approval
- Schedule and manage appointments, vehicle drop-offs, and pick-ups
- Oversee service workflow and ensure timely completion of work
- Communicate repair status updates and service changes to customers
- Coordinate parts ordering and ensure parts availability when needed
- Process customer payments and explain invoices in detail
- Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
- Follow up with customers after service completion to address any concerns
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 years of experience in an automotive service department or dealership
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or automotive customer service role preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, customer-friendly manner
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
