Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and a passion for helping clients navigate the mortgage process. As a Mortgage Agent, you will be responsible for guiding clients through loan origination, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage process.

Duties

  • Conduct credit analysis to assess client eligibility for various mortgage products.
  • Process loan applications and ensure all necessary documentation is collected and submitted.
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams to facilitate timely approvals and resolutions of any issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Prepare and review contracts related to mortgage transactions.
  • Provide support in mortgage servicing, including managing escrow accounts and addressing client inquiries.
  • Utilize basic math skills for accurate calculations related to loans, payments, and interest rates.
  • Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a loan officer or in a similar role within the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes and loan processing workflows.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in credit analysis techniques and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.49-$43.83 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
