Hiring Experienced Event Managers

Position Summary:
The Event Manager is the on-site lead for our catered events, ensuring every detail runs smoothly from setup to teardown. This role combines leadership, logistics, and client service to create seamless, memorable experiences. Working closely with the culinary and service teams, the Event Manager upholds our company's high standards of hospitality and presentation while maintaining calm, confident control of the event flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination & Setup
- Review event details and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) prior to each event.
- Lead the setup team to ensure all food, beverage, decor, and equipment elements meet event specifications.
- Communicate with venue staff and clients on-site to confirm layouts, timing, and special requests.
- Troubleshoot any setup or logistics issues quickly and professionally.
Service Management
- Oversee FOH staff, including servers and bartenders, ensuring efficient, polished service.
- Maintain event timelines, coordinating with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service flow.
- Anticipate client and guest needs throughout the event, providing attentive, proactive support.
- Ensure all company service standards, presentation guidelines, and safety protocols are followed.
Team Leadership
- Manage and motivate event staff with clear direction and a positive attitude.
- Conduct pre-event briefings to review timing, service style, and client expectations.
- Lead by example: jumping in where needed to support service and maintain momentum.
- Provide constructive feedback and report staffing notes to the Operations Manager.
Client & Vendor Relations
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and vendors during the event.
- Communicate updates or challenges promptly and professionally.
- Represent the company with warmth, confidence, and a service-first mindset.
Wrap-Up & Reporting
- Oversee teardown and ensure all equipment and rentals are returned or packed correctly.
- Complete post-event reports including staff notes, timing, and any client feedback.
- Flag any damages, shortages, or follow-up requirements to the Operations team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in event or hospitality management, - preferably in catering or banquets.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with proven ability to manage teams under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Serving It Right certification
- Comfortable handling client communication and last-minute adjustments.
- A valid drivers license preferred.
