About the Role

We are seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented, and results-driven Events and Experience Manager to execute our events strategy and ensure we provide unique, memorable experiences to grow our brand and reputation as an innovative market leader. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this individual will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing in-person events and conferences to drive lead generation, and expand brand awareness across our key channels: direct to CFO/finance accounting teams, bank partners, and consultant/ERP partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive event plans aligned with business objectives and target audience segments for the purposes of lead generation and brand building, including external conferences and FISPAN-hosted events
  • Manage all aspects of event planning and logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budget tracking, registration, and on-site execution
  • Collaborate with internal teams (leadership, sales, partnerships, product, marketing) to ensure event success and alignment with overall marketing initiatives
  • Analyze event performance, track key metrics, and provide insights for continuous improvement
  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and partnerships to maximize event impact
  • Manage event communications and promotions across various channels (email, social media, website)
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event marketing

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in events, with a proven track record of successfully executing in-person events and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Inherent agility to be able to think and shift on the fly, as requirements may change
  • Bias to hosting and making memories for the guests
  • Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in event management software and CRM platforms
  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on lead generation and ROI
  • Ability to travel as needed for events
  • Based in Vancouver

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the banking, ERP, B2B SaaS, and/or Fintech industries is essential
  • Experience in independently running and managing a full-scale conference

Compensation Package

FISPAN believes in an atmosphere and culture when innovation can flourish, collaboration and teamwork are valued and transparency is at the core of it all. We want our employees to see how the ideas they help generate today have an impact on how we do business tomorrow.With that, the hiring salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on comparable market data from companies of similar employee size, revenue and location. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive semi-annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
