About The Opportunity
Our Public Sector client is standing up a major modernization initiative and is engaging a senior-level Special Advisor to lead the planning, adoption, and phased implementation of ServiceNow ITOM Discovery across a highly complex enterprise technology environment.

This role is purpose-built for someone who thrives in large digital transformation mandates, can influence across multiple stakeholder groups, and brings deep ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB governance, and ITOM experience to the table.

You will be driving outcomes that directly support executive decision-making and long-term ITSM modernization efforts.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Governance and Planning

• Establish and support an ITOM governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures across DND and SSC
• Develop and maintain a phased implementation roadmap aligned with operational priorities and compliance requirements

Discovery Enablement

• Coordinate the deployment of MID Servers and credential management strategies across the IT infrastructure
• Oversee the configuration and execution of automated discovery schedules for servers, network devices, and other critical infrastructure assets

CMDB Development and Data Quality

• Support the design and implementation of a standardized CMDB data model aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
• Facilitate integration of authoritative data sources (e.g., MECM, AD, DRIMIS) and reconciliation processes to improve CMDB completeness and accuracy

Stakeholder Engagement and Training

• Lead engagement across Service Management Centres, Shared Services Canada, and other partners to ensure alignment and adoption
• Develop and deliver training materials and sessions using a train-the-trainer model

Reporting and Metrics

• Define and implement ITOM KPIs and dashboards to support executive decision-making and operational visibility
• Provide regular progress reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for continuous improvement

Security and Compliance Coordination

• Collaborate with security and oversight groups to ensure discovery activities meet all security authorization requirements
• Support the development of SA&A documentation and MID Server deployment matrices

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Certificate, diploma or degree in a relevant field from a recognized post-secondary institution, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience
• Min. 48 months relevant experience providing similar services to those mentioned herein
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) required
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery required
• Senior-level advisory experience leading ServiceNow ITOM Discovery implementations in enterprise or government environments
• Demonstrated expertise in CMDB design, CSDM alignment, data quality governance, automated discovery, and executive reporting
• Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and guide cross-functional technical and operational teams
• Strong background developing roadmaps, governance structures, KPIs, and training programs
• English Essential (Intermediate oral, written, and comprehension)
• Valid security clearance at a minimum level of Reliability
