Job Summary
We have an opening for a Procurement Officer / Store Clerk. You will be part of the team of dedicated individuals within our manufacturing operations. You would work closely with team members to ensure all purchasing and inventory activities are completed on time and to quality standards.
Purchasing/Inventory would be responsible for the following:
- sourcing and procuring of all materials vital to production.
- responsible for planning and coordinating with Production for the purchasing of materials.
- source the best available quality products and materials, meeting specifications as per production requirements and ASME Codes
- building relationships with suppliers
- negotiation pricing, terms and contracts with suppliers.
- preparing purchase orders
- coordinate with Vendors and production to maintain consistent and regular supply flow
- responsible for all paperwork for submission to Accounting Department
- responsible for day to day operations of Stores for all inventory
- important to be hands on
- receiving materials
- recording/marking materials
- storage of materials
- inventory must be maintained by identifying, labelling and placing materials into stock, and recording inventory.

Job Type / Category
Purchasing and Store Clerk for commercial manufacturing company. This is a full time position Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30 pm.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidate must be detailed oriented. Good time management and planning skills. Strong decision making skills while under pressure. Must be a team player, flexible and adaptable to different situations. Has ability to build and manage relationships with vendors. Excellent communication and active listening skills. Mechanical background or experience an asset.
