YOUR IMPACT
OpenText is seeking a strategic and analytical Lead Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting our Customer Success Organization. This high-impact role will be instrumental in driving financial insights and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business. You'll partner closely with operational leaders, leveraging your financial modeling expertise and systems knowledge to influence strategy and optimize performance.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of profitability dynamics—particularly in areas such as cross charges and subcontractor management—and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What The Role Offers
- Lead planning and forecasting cycles, including developing estimates, operating plans, and corporate reporting packages.
- Partner with Customer Success and Professional Services teams to support commercial initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Define, monitor, and analyze key financial metrics and performance indicators.
- Deliver insightful variance analyses and actionable recommendations to drive business outcomes.
- Enhance financial modeling methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and predictability.
- Identify expense risks and opportunities, collaborating with business leaders to mitigate risks and maximize profitability.
- Support costing and spend analysis for Professional Services, including subcontractor rates, utilization, and cross charges.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to special projects as needed
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in high-tech, SaaS, or internet industries.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros); experience with SAP, BPC, or Power BI is a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting Professional Services or Customer Success teams is highly desirable.
